- The Pier
- S.S. Jolley Bridge
- Doctors Pass
- Clam Pass (Outer Clam Bay)
You want to fish, but your family wants to relax at the beach. Why not do both. You can go to the beach and throw your line in and relax while you wait for the first bite. You can catch your own bait using a net or dig for sand crabs. A fishing license is required to fish from the beach.
Fishing from the pier is pretty amazing. You are 1000 feet over the water, so you are not in shallow water and fish love to hang out under the pier. You also do not need a fishing license to fish from the pier. There are rules though to fishing from the pier. Make sure that you know local laws before casting your line.
S.S. Jolley Bridge Marco Island
This is a good spot to go since fish love to hang out near bridges. You can fish from the sides of the bridge or from underneath the bridge. I like to go under the bridge so that you have shade and there is a nice breeze. Bring a chair to sit and a cooler with some drinks and you are good for several hours. Having a fishing license is required here.
This is a good spot to go if you want to go out a little and not be so crowded. It is a little walk to get here, so not a lot of people go here. You can climb on the rocks and fish in the pass or go to the end and fish from there. This is a good spot to see dolphins. A fishing license is required here.
Here you need a paddle board, kayak or a very small boat to fish. You can go inside the bay and close to the mangroves to fish. There a a lot of big fish finding under the mangroves. Make sure you check the tide chart before you go. It gets pretty shallow in the bay during low tide. A fishing license is required to fish here.
Know your local laws before heading out to fish!
