The first board that we got was a GoPlus Inflatable Paddle Board. We were very excited to test it out. We opened the box and inflated the board in our living room. We then deflated it to see how long it would take. The next day, we went to the beach to test the board in the water and we all fell in love. Paddle boarding is on a whole other level. It is relaxing, adventurous, exercise, and so much more. The feeling of being on the water with dolphins playing all around you or having manatees swimming underneath you is amazing.
But now we needed a new board so that all three of us could go together without one being left behind. We finally found one, Connelly Neptune Angler 11’6″ Stand-Up Paddle Board. It is a fishing paddle board, but we do not use it for fishing. We love that is has a fishing rod rack. We use it to strap our personal items to the board without them being in our way. Now that we have two boards, we can go out together, including with our puppy.
So, if we had to choose between our inflatable board and our hard board, it depends on who you ask. I like the inflatable board more, because it sits higher in the water and the front has a non slip pad that covers the whole top of the board. However, the inflatable board is just that, inflatable. It is made really well and is thick. But should something happen while you are on the water, what would you do. My husband likes the hard board better. He likes that he can go right up against the mangroves to get those amazing shots up close. Or he can go through the small openings that lead to somewhere pretty awesome without worries about the board getting damaged. So with the said, the hard board is definitely the winner.
